About Us
Chef Monique has been baking since the age of 11, when she and her aunt were in experimental mode for baking something unique. "We would blend different flavors and toppings in order to make the most unique cake and pastries possible. I have always loved drawing, painting, music, photography, and many other forms of art, and I found the one form of art that I can express my love and appreciation for it all." She attributes her success to her family & loved ones. " As cliche as it may sound, I was truely blessed with an amazing family. Monique's husband, Cesar Lira, has been there from the start of it all. Whether it was long nights of baking & preparation, he has always been there to lend a hand. "I have my husband helping me from the very first day I started from scratch. He was and will always be my direction and he knows what I am thinking when I need his help. Also part of the crew is Monique's best friend, Nicole Cardona, a great decorator and the most amazing friend anyone could have been blessed with. Everyone should have a Nikki at their side! This is our motto & I truely take pride & believe in it with all my heart. Here at Monique's Cake Co, we are motivated by constantly trying to outdo ourselves. We love art & take inspiration from everything around us, music, art, nature, life, etc. This company has grown from a girl with just a dream to a group of friends & family members that love what they do & have fun doing it too.
